This mural came out of a recurring image I keep painting, evolving into two figures suspended in some kind of shared pull. I didn’t know what they were at first, only that they seemed to be reaching without fully arriving. The subtlety of coming into contact, to be altered through nearness. With two figures shaped from different places, they come together in an encounter changed by one another.
